Shearson Lehman Hutton Mortgage Warehouse Lending System

As a subsidiary of American Express, Shearson Lehman Hutton Mortgage identified an opportunity to leverage its borrowing power by entering the warehouse lending business. As Senior Vice President, Data Processing, I was asked to develop a system to minimize risk associated with the new venture.

I designed and direct development of a PC based Mortgage Warehouse Lending System providing the ability to electronically monitor and issue appropriate margin calls on $500 million in loans to client mortgage banks.

The system solution enabled ½ staff to manage more than 50 client relationships and earned Shearson 2% spread generating annual revenue in excess of $9 million.
