Kaufman and Broad Data Warehouse

On joining Kaufman and Broad, I inherited a one-and-a-half year old dysfunctional Data Warehouse project in which the company had invested $1.5 million without realizing a single solution. Within a few days I identified the root causes of the projects failure and the means to correct them.

I reorganized the Data Warehouse project team defining specific roles, responsibilities, tasks, and deadlines.

Within 90 days, we delivered the first of eight data marts and established a process to deliver future data marts within 45 days of approved definition. The resulting real time cost / revenue analysis capability improved unit margin by ½% to 1% enabling growth in annual revenue of more than $9 million.
